Floor Technician (Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm)


Set Pay Rate: $21.16

Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00pm-10pm

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors and facilities through specialized floor care and general custodial services. This position follows all contract specifications, safety procedures, and security requirements.

What you will do

  • Strip, seal, wax, buff, and burnish hard floors
  • Clean carpets using extractors and spot-cleaning equipment
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain assigned areas
  • Operate floor care equipment, including scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, extractors, and ride-on machines
  • Mix and use cleaning chemicals safely and properly
  • Move furniture as needed to complete floor care
  • Perform equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance
  • Remove trash when required
  • Report maintenance issues, equipment needs, and safety concerns
  • Assist with inventory and general custodial duties as needed
  • Follow all company, safety, and security policies

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of floor technician or custodial experience preferred
  • Knowledge of floor care equipment and floor maintenance techniques is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly (75–100 lbs. with assistance)
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
